Online Learning
The Master of Sustainable Transportation program is offered completely online, allowing for a flexible learning experience that fits the schedules of working professionals. Because all course materials are accessed through your computer, you can earn a UW degree from anywhere in the world that has high-speed internet service.
How Online Learning Works
In many ways, online courses are similar to classroom courses. Along with the rest of your student cohort, you start each course at the beginning of the quarter and follow a weekly schedule. You need to keep up with assignments and other coursework by assigned deadlines and finish all tasks by the quarter's end.
From your computer, you will connect to a robust online learning management system called Canvas. You can access course materials, including recorded lectures, and interact with faculty and fellow classmates in online forums on your own schedule. Once a week, you will log in around 6 p.m. Pacific Time for a live, two-hour class.
